Becky Florence, MCPF

Finding Inspiration with every piece of art

Becky began her long career in framing at Ben Franklin Crafts and Custom Framing over 30 years ago in Hooksett NH. Her first day on the job she knew she had found the job that others had said "If you love your job then you will never work another day in your life" Though there were more than a few days in which that did not hold true, it still remains her passion. It Has taken her on many journeys through the years and across many miles from Boston to Napa,CA. and back to the East Coast where she landed in 2010 and met her future husband David Pratt, owner of D Pratt Framer in Kittery.  She met David when she walked into his shop as a sales rep for a picture frame moulding and supply company. It was not love at first sight as she recalls. In fact it was a no-no to date clients.

Becky had serious intentions of moving back to California after gaining enough work experience as a sales rep. But David's charm worked its magic. They were married in November 2021, on Black Friday, a day of significance for those in retail. While Black Friday is a big sales day for most retail stores, custom picture framing rarely sees  customers on that day, David & Becky are always assured of having their anniversary weekend away from the store.

Becky's favorite part of framing is working with clients to find the perfect design. Everyday she finds something new to think about.

Like her husband, Becky holds a Master Certified Picture Framer designation. She is one of less than 100 worldwide and the only practicing MCPF in New Hampshire.

Favorite artists:

Georgia O'Keefe, Fernand Leger, Alexander Calder, Martin Johnson Heade, Lisa Noonis & Barbara Giles.

Favorite joke:

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, 'Where's the self-help section?' She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose. -George Carlin
